Identified - Ayr station is closed for the foreseeable future due to a Grand Cancel Adelante being stationed there catching fire and burning down neighboring buildings on Monday 25 September 2023.

Investigating - Our crystal ball is informing us of a shopping trolley on the line between Farnworth and Kearsley at 07:30 on the 6th of October. Due to this, the following services will be affected: Stalybridge - Manchester Victoria - Bolton - Wigan: Services will be cancelled. Oxford Road - Bolton - Wigan: Services will be cancelled. Man Airport - Piccadilly - Bolton - Preston - Blackpool North: Services will be cancelled. Man Airport - Piccadilly - Bolton - Preston - Barrow/Windermere: Services will be cancelled. Leeds - Brighouse - Todmorden - Manchester Vic - Walkden - Wigan: Services will be cancelled. Rochdale - Manchester Vic - Bolton - Bromley Cross - Blackburn - Clitheroe: Services will be cancelled.
